Hello
My name is Jacklyn Rodriguez, LPC, PMH-C
Certified in Perinatal Mental Health
EMDR Trained Therapist
Hi there, and thanks for stopping by. If you’re here, you’ve probably scrolled through more therapist profiles than you ever imagined you would—trying to find someone who feels like the right fit, maybe feeling a little lost about where to even begin. Just making it this far is a big deal, so take a breath and give yourself some credit for showing up.

Professionally, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and practice owner. Personally, I wear many hats: I’m a mother, an advocate, a lifelong learner, a serial hobbyist (yes, I’m the type to start crocheting one week and clay crafting the next), and an imperfect human figuring things out as I go. My own lived experience with mental health, alongside my education and training, has shaped the way I show up for others.

Therapy, to me, is about more than strategies and coping skills (though those have their place). It’s about creating a space where you feel safe to exhale, to be fully yourself—messy, complicated, brilliant, and everything in between. It’s an honor for me to sit with people in their hardest seasons and to witness the quiet, powerful ways they grow.
My hope is that our work together helps you feel seen and understood, while also supporting you in building a deeper connection with yourself. At the end of the day, my goal isn’t perfection—it’s helping you arrive at a place of greater self-acceptance, self-love, and the freedom to live wholeheartedly (whatever that looks like for you).

Treatment Approaches
A therapy treatment approach is a structured framework or methodology used by therapists to address mental health concerns and help clients achieve their therapeutic goals.

Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that focuses on understanding the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, aiming to change harmful patterns by challenging negative thinking and promoting healthier coping strategies. Through structured sessions, clients learn to identify and modify unhelpful thought patterns, leading to positive changes in their emotions and actions.

Solution Focused
Therapy
Solution-Focused Therapy is a goal-oriented approach that emphasizes identifying and building on existing strengths and resources to help clients envision and work towards their desired future. It focuses on solutions rather than dwelling on problems, encouraging clients to explore practical steps to achieve their goals in a collaborative and empowering manner.

Motivational
Interviewing
Motivational Interviewing is a counseling technique that aims to evoke and strengthen an individual's motivation to change. It involves empathetic listening, collaboration, and guiding clients to explore their ambivalence towards change. By fostering intrinsic motivation and resolving ambivalence, clients are empowered to make positive behavioral changes aligned with their values and goals.

EMDR Therapy
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy is a specialized approach used to treat trauma and other distressing experiences. During EMDR sessions, clients recall distressing memories while focusing on external stimuli, such as hand movements or sounds, guided by the therapist. This process helps reprocess traumatic memories, reducing their emotional impact and enabling clients to develop healthier coping mechanisms and positive beliefs about themselves.
